Lärmschutz is a fire-breathing improvisational duo from Utrecht on guitar & trombone, aided here by vocals and bass, and whatever they can get their hands on that particular day. The attitude is simple: give no warning, take no prisoners, have no plan. One of them hits, scrapes, pulls and strangles strings, another picks a fight with a trombone and threatens it with effects and the others do things with vocal chords, electronics and basses the other guys don't understand. Influenced by free jazz, no wave, punk and the sound of a 90's-dial-up-internet connection. Lärmschutz are a few charming blokes who just sometimes seem to hate their instruments. They do pleasantly abstract things, sometimes minimal, but more often maximal, firing all cilinders. In short: a loud bunch, but meaning well.
