Marilza Gouvea


Marilza comes from a musical family in Brazil, her father played classical guitar and her grandfather was a teacher and music teacher. From an early age she approached music: bossa nova and popular music brazilian. After coming to Europe she got into improvised music and worked with many artists such as Adrian Northover, Jim Dvorak, Terry Day, Phil Minton and Marcio Mattos, participated in various improvised music festivals such as the Acéfalo in Valparaíso, Chile and in Malaga, invited by Javier Carmona, the Casa Invisible festival, in Rio de Janeiro at the Audio Rebel festival. She has performed several times at Late friend John Russell's "Mopomoso club" She recently released two trio records with Márcio Mattos and Adrian Northover: "MAM" and "Cajula" (FMR). After graduating in ceramics from Goldsmith College of London, she have opened a pottery and painting studio in London.
