Johannes Feuchter

Born on the Austrian countryside, Johannes Feuchter grew up with playing in marching bands, dancing music and men’s choir – and always sought to go beyond with his conception of music. After extensive studies in Graz, Madrid and Bern, he now pursues a career as freelance clarinet player, creator and performer in cutting-edge new and experimental music, improvised music, as well as music theatre. Johannes has co-founded the Bern-based improv-ensemble KRAN, performed with ensembles such as Klangforum Wien, Schallfeld, proton and Vertigo, and played at festivals like Acht Brücken Cologne, lucerne festival, Wien Modern and venues like Elbphilharmonie and Griessner-Stadl. He is sharing his passion through teaching and mediation activities. Recently, Johannes is delving into sound research on the low clarinet instruments, and working on forms of conceptual improvisation and collaborative creation in different musical contexts.
