Lorenzo Brilli


Lorenzo studied drums and percussions at the "Aaron Copland School of Music", New York - (CUNY) under the guidance of Michael Lipsey, Javier Diaz and Dennis Mackrel and he graduated with full marks in Percussions at the Conservatory of Perugia, Italy. In 2015 he attended the Fara Music Festival where he won the scholarship for the "Collective School of Music" in New York. In 2017 he moved to New York where he lived until 2019. In NY he had the chance to study and work with renown jazz artists, developing and researching also different music languages: balinese gamelan music tradition, chamber music, bata drumming. During that time he also started collaborate with the New York gamelan percussion ensemble "Gamelan Yowana Sari" with whom he performed in US and Bali. He lives now in Perugia, Italy, where he works with different music projects both as a drummers and percussionist: Christian Pabst trio, Lorenzo Bisogno 4et, Malacarne (contemporary dance company), Pietro Paris Underneath, Phorminx, HEX, performing in Europe, US and Asia: Umbria Jazz festival, Milano Jazz Festival, No Black Tie (Malaysia), Transilvania Jazz Festival, Winter Arts Music Festival Sochi (Russia), Borneo Jazz Festival, Fazioli Showroom (Singapore), Barga Jazz Festival, Fano Jazz Festival, Sanremo Symphony Orchestra, Centrum Paderewskiego (Poland), Pic Art Jazz Club ( Kracov), Sea Cliff Chamber Music Series Festival (Long Island, New York), Make Music Festival - New York, Necessary Noise Festival 2017 (New Jersey), Alternatilla Jazz Festival (Mallorca, Spain), Goethe – Institut Bucarest.
