Cristiano Bocci

Cristiano Bocci (1975, Castel Del Piano, Italy) is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, 6-string electric bass, double bass, theremin, viola da gamba), sound designer and composer in Tuscany, near Siena. He has released work under his own name and with American double-bassist Daniel Barbiero; saxophonist Tobia Bondesan; and guitarist Fabrizio Bai. Moreover, he participated on about twenty albums as sideman or special guest. He has many projects moving from traditional Brazilian music to radical improvisation or jazz-core. He performed several sound and visual installations based on the software Puredata and the single board computer UDOO. He translated into Italian Puckette's book The theory and technique of electronic music; this translation is, at the moment, the most-used book in Italian conservatories.
