Rogelio Nobara Tamura


Musician, improviser and sound experimenter from Mexico City. Studies of percussion at EIA #1 of National Institute of Fine Arts and Jazz licenciature at Escuela Superior de Musica with Master Francisco Tellez, workshops with Karl Berger, Paul McCandless and Freddie Hubbard's group. Played in groups like Fabula (Progressive and Experimental), Antidoping (Reggae), Dife (Soka and Reggae), Sociedad Acustica (Fusion, Free Jazz), Delirium (Progressive Rock), Jose Cruz y Hikuris (Blues), invited to play guitar in "Cobra" directed by John Zorn. His personal project of experiments and improvisation is Irradiador with a big influence of El Movimiento Estridentista, The Beat Generation and Antonin Artaud. On the other hand he works for movies as set dresser, scenic painter and prop master.
